DSL Design Consulting’s approach to quality park design balances the specific needs of both our client and the end user groups. During the early stages of programming design, we collect critical information from the community through the workshops and meetings. From these information gathering sessions we can accurately establish a list of design criteria which we balance with important factors such as site budget and future planning constraints. At the conclusion of the design phase, we present a solution: the result of both the community’s input and the clients direction.

Urban Design

Landscape Architecture and universal design is critical to the success of any urban environment. DSL Design Consulting has over 30 years experience in urban design – the interaction of the built and natural environments along with universal design. Our staff has the training and experience to address and embrace the concept of bringing nature into the city core and designing for all to use. This connection to nature allows us to inhabit otherwise harsh environments composed of building, streets and expansive areas of concrete. The ability to integrate nature into these architectural settings is key to the preservation of the human spirit. As landscape architects, we believe the planning and preservation of open space is an integral part of fostering enriched urban living, more livable communities for all ages, sizes and abilities and we strive to realize this goal.
